Alfred Rodman Hussey (1869-1947) graduated from Harvard College in 1892 and Harvard Divinity School in 1895. Ordained to the Unitarian ministry in 1895, he served pastorates in West Roxbury, Taunton, Lowell, and Plymouth, Massachusetts, as well as Baltimore, Maryland. From 1916 to 1930 he served as the literary editor of the Christian Register and was chairman of the Maryland Child Labor Committee from 1914 to 1916.
